I am not a fan of camping. Roughing it in the great outdoors does not hold much appeal to me. Now, don’t get me wrong, I have nothing against spending the day outdoors enjoying the beauty of nature. I just don’t see the point of sleeping in a tent on the ground with no heat.
My daughter, on the other hand, really wanted to go camping. Her brother goes each year with the boy’s group at church. She wanted to know why her girl’s group didn’t do the same thing. After much discussion, it was decided that we would have a mom and daughter weekend out in the woods. However, instead of tents, we were able to go yurt camping. It made it a little better. There were bunks with “mattresses,” but with multiple people in each yurt, sleep was scarce.
The girls had a great time. I can’t say the same for the moms! We need a little more sleep than what we got. Still, it was a fun weekend. The girls got to hike, make smores and go the weekend without showering–just like the boys.
I used the Bella Blvd Thankful collection for this layout. Love this line! I especially love all the little stickers that came on their Alpha+Bits and Just Write Journaling Stickers sheets.
