I’ve had a great time using all the awesome sketches that were provided for the Sketchfest over at Creative Scrappers. There were 20 layout sketches and 5 card sketches. I finished a total of 5 layouts and 3 cards.

Here is the layout I did for the Flowers in Bloom challenge:

For the cards, I decided that I would use the sketches to make some cards for a friend of mine that just had a baby boy.

The Cardstock and Stamp Card Challenge:

The Handcut Card Challenge:

(I popped the flower on this, but you can’t really tell with this photo I took.)

The Ribbon Card Challenge:

I think that might be it for me this week! Unless I get super inspired tonight 😉

I decided it was time to start using my Basic Grey paper packs that I have been hoarding, especially since they are from 3-4 releases ago! So what did I do? I found some sketches to use!

These sketches are from Creatively Yours.

The first sketch I used was for Card Sketch #9. I just found out a friend of mine had a baby boy, so I decided to use some of the Oh Baby! boy line for this.

I popped the middle flower to give it some dimension and used some of those shaped eyelets that are suppose to be coming back into style or so I’ve heard. 😉

Next, I pulled out the Urban Couture pack and used the 12 x 12 Sketch #10.

And finally, I used the Fruitcake line for the 6 x 12 Sketch #2.

I also have some more fun stuff to share with you! My CHA RAK prize from Reminisce arrived in the mail the other day! I am so excited! I received the entire Making the Grade line.

Here are the stickers…one for each grade, starting at Preschool and going through the Senior Year of high school.

And these are the alpha stickers and the journaling spots (which I LOVE!) and other assorted stickers.

Finally, here is the patterned paper. They are double sided and again, there is one for each grade level.

I can’t wait to get started making layouts with these! Thank you so much Reminisce!

I started all of these layouts at the Friday night crop at my LSS and finished them up Saturday night, but of course, my computer decided to not cooperate, so I haven’t had a chance to upload them until tonight.

Here are the layouts I did for the Creative Scrapper’s Sketchfest. It was so fun to use all their wonderful sketches!

The “About Me” Challenge:

The “Bees and Butterflies” Challenge:

The “White Space” Challenge:

The “Family” Challenge:

I also used a sketch from Creatively Yours (#16) to do this layout:

I did manage to finish up a couple of more layouts while the kids were at camp this week.

The first one I did, I used a sketch from Sketches-R-Us. It is a one page LO, but I flipped the sketch so I could do this two page layout!

And this one is for the Craft Critique CHA-Ching #2 Challenge:

This weekend I get the chance to attend a crop online and at my LSS! Whoo Hoo! I am so excited! Two crops! 🙂

The first crop started this morning online on the Creative Scrappers forum.

This is one of the new-to-me sketch blogs I recently discovered! It took me a little while to see the BIG FORUM tab at the top of the blog. Yeah, sometimes I am slow that way! LOL! But I am so glad I did. They have an incredible number of sketch challenges (20 so far) already posted! I am so excited that I noticed the forum in time to participate!

I am also going to a real life crop tonight at my LSS! One of my scrapping buddies who moved to Texas last year is back in town, so of course we are scrapping! I am ready to go with tons of sketches to choose from. Now, I’ll just have to see how much I get done as I catch up with my friend.  😉

…I get to create! This week both kids are at Science Detective Camp from 9am – 3:30pm. This is the first time since school let out mid-June that both kids are out of the house at the same time. So of course, I have been digging into my stash and trying to do some of those awesome challenges that pop up all over the scrapping world each week.

For this first layout, I used Creative Scrappers sketch #9. I created this layout to showcase my son’s names/nicknames for Journaling Junkies challenge #28. And for the weekly theme challenge at Paper Popsicles, I did my journaling in strips.

The next layout I did fit into Noel Mignon’s Christmas in July challenge. I used the challenge #13 sketch from Gettin Sketchy.

I also started another layout but didn’t quite finish that one up yet. Hopefully tomorrow! And then I want to tackle some more card sketches. 😉

More Creations!

I am still playing with my Twelve Fridays July kit! There is just so much packed into it! And for a simple scrapper like me, this kit just keeps on going!

This layout I did using the current sketch on Triple the Sketch! I have been following them since their first sketch (my wonderful friend Julie is on their design team), but this is the first time I have had a chance to play along! (This layout isn’t on black cardstock, I just photographed it on a black background.)

And since I was loving working with that sketch, I decided to do use another sketch for this card. I found the sketch at Creatively Yours and this is my interpretation.

I also did another really simple card.

Finally, I made a flower with some more items from the July kit as well as some items from the older kits. This was probably the most important thing I created today. You see, I found out late yesterday, that a friend of mine lost her stepdaughter in a car crash. I had the privilege of meeting Shelley at the Scrap Etc. 2007 Event in Alabama. She is truly just a nice person. I enjoyed getting to know her on the message board as well. My heart goes out for them and when Lucy posted on the Scrap Etc. blog that the were going to put together a paper flower bouquet for her, I knew I wanted to contribute. It’s simple and it’s flat (so I could send it in the mail without worrying too much about it). Please say a prayer for them.
