As I shared in my earlier post, the best part of the Event was the people.
I knew the Event was going to be GREAT when I walked up the stairs to the registration area (think Scarlett O’Hara in Gone With the Wind type stairs…after all, we are in the Opryland Hotel) and the first person I see is Monique McLean, the fire behind the Event. She was originally talking to someone, but by the time I finished climbing those last few steps and started walking towards her, she was already making her way towards me. She gave me one of the best hugs! Wow! Talking about knowing you are where you are suppose to be! I was feeling a little guilty for not spending the entirety of spring break with my kids, but this totally confirmed to me that I was in the right place for the weekend.

I also received a shock when Wilna, who was one of the teachers of the Event recognized me. I have never met her before, but she knew my screen name and said she almost emailed me to ask me for my real name. I had no clue why until she started a slide show at the end of her class and one of my LOs was featured on it. How cool is that?

Two other people that I had the privilege of meeting and spending time with were Heather Preckel and Heidi Lacy, co-owners of Twelve Fridays. They are the best! Heather is so sweet and Heidi just cracks me up! I realized even more what a blessing it is to be part of their design team. Just hanging out with them was pure fun! And just for them, any more magazines you need to send my way? š

And last but not least (at least for this post!), I had the privilege of meeting the very cool and fabulous Opel sisters…Susan and Beth. Unfortunately, we were not assigned to the same group so I did not get to spend very much time with them. It was still a blast to meet them and to have the little time I did get to spend with them. And I even made it into their blog post about the Event! You can see it here. Susan and Beth are in the process of a big move to Utah to begin new positions with Paper Crafts (Susan) and Creating Keepsakes (Beth), so it was just a huge thrill to hear about that!

There are so many more memories I want to share with you, but I don’t want to drag out this post forever, so stay tuned for Part 2 and 3 and 4…. š
It was so great getting to hang out with you some Melita and you are just the sweetest! š
